For generations, the Roscommon Bucks and Houghton Lake Bobcats have battled for bragging rights.
This year, we're taking it to the golf course.
.Join us for the inaugural Tee'n Up for Teachers: Bucks vs. Bobcats Rivalry Outing on August 28th at White Deer Country Club.
Here's where things get interesting:
✅ Entry fees and sponsorships are split evenly between both schools.
✅ During the outing, golfers and supporters can participate in games, raffles, contests, and other fundraising activities.
✅ Every dollar raised through those activities goes directly to the school of YOUR choice.
🏆 At the end of the day, the school that raises the most money will take home the inaugural Rivalry Trophy and a year of bragging rights.
💰 And yes... The top three golf teams will also win cash prizes.
This isn't about one school winning and one school losing. It's about two communities coming together to support teachers, classrooms, and students—while having a little fun with one of Northern Michigan's best rivalries.

As a team, the boys finished 2nd place overall in the small school division! This puts an exclamation point on an amazing season that saw MS records broken, the conference championship, and great performances at postseason events.
Congratulations. You have made us all #BobcatProud

The HLHS Sex Education Advisory Board (SEAB) will hold its 2nd required annual meeting on Thursday, May 14th. The meeting will be at Houghton Lake Jr./Sr. High School at 3:10 p.m., and the group will meet in room 147.

HLCS would like to give a massive round of applause for our National Honor Society students, who took 100% ownership of the "Paws with a Cause" fundraiser.
From the first planning meeting to the final whistle, these students did it all to support the Roscommon County Animal Shelter. We are so proud of their leadership and the incredible community that showed up to back them!
WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING:
Our Sponsors: For believing in our students’ vision and providing the support to make it a reality.
The Roscommon County Voice and Houghton Lake Resorter: For running ads and sharing our event with the community.
