The HLHS Sex Education Advisory Board (SEAB) will hold its 2nd required annual meeting on Thursday, May 14th. The meeting will be at Houghton Lake Jr./Sr. High School at 3:10 p.m., and the group will meet in room 147.

Ecology Club spent Earth Day rejuvenating the grounds at Houghton Lake Community Schools. Thirteen students participated in today's clean-up. They removed eight bags of trash from the elementary and Junior/Senior high School grounds. It was a beautiful Earth Day!

The Houghton Lake RoboCats made a splash in Charlotte yesterday, competing in the Underwater IVD Competition. After 2 heats, the Bobcats were in 2nd place. Unfortunately, some equipment malfunctions led them to miss the third heat, before closing the competition in heat four. Despite the malfunctions, the team had a successful day, taking 1st place in Ambassadorship. Congratulations to RoboCats members Chris Dilts, Gabe Fisher, Collin Hamp, Chaysin Ledbetter, and Andrew Partenio, along with Coach Darrell Partenio.

HLCS would like to give a massive round of applause for our National Honor Society students, who took 100% ownership of the "Paws with a Cause" fundraiser.
From the first planning meeting to the final whistle, these students did it all to support the Roscommon County Animal Shelter. We are so proud of their leadership and the incredible community that showed up to back them!

Yesterday, our 8th grade class took a visit to the Wexford-Missaukee CTC programs to observe some of the programs accessible to them in the future. It was an exciting day of exploration as they begin to form their Educational Development Plans and begin to navigate career readiness.

The Bobcat Forensics Team took a long trip down to Grand Rapids Christian High School to compete at a major tournament this past Saturday. 363 students were competing from 18 different schools! Three Bobcats advanced to the elimination rounds:
