Houghton Lake had the honor of hosting 15 schools for an incredible Leadership Summit yesterday. Students spent the day learning what real leadership looks like through planning, problem solving, teamwork, and hands-on activities. They rotated through sessions, took on challenges in the gym, and explored why strong student leadership matters so much in our schools!!
The Collins and Jr./Sr. High School mashup saw students in grades 6th-12th collaborate together with fellow schools in the region. Student Senators from Houghton Lake High School stepped up in a huge way. They led groups and helped younger students understand how to be the kind of leaders who make a difference, the kind of leaders who are strong, kind, friendly, inclusive, and confident in who they are.
It was an amazing day for learning, growing, and celebrating the future of student leadership. We’re so proud of our Bobcats and so grateful for every school that joined us!! It was a great day to be a Houghton Lake Bobcat and shows an even brighter future ahead!!!
