This past July, HLHS students Qiaden Lindsey and Addysen Lewis, along with HLHS teacher Dr. Ken Pickard, attended Peru for their inaugural service trip. This trio, founders of the HLHS MedLife club, is focused on bringing healthcare, development, and education to impoverished communities in several countries.

While in Peru, the group provided free mobile clinics, performing such services as taking height and weight for patients, checking blood pressure, and distributing medication. Toothbrushes and oral hygiene products were distributed, and the students demonstrated to groups appropriate hygiene practices.

In just a few short months, MedLife, a student founded group at HLHS, has already had a global impact. We are so #BobcatProud of our student leadership and can't wait to see what is in store for MedLife moving forward.
