Houghton Lake Jr./Sr. High School is excited to announce the addition of SmartPass to our student safety initiatives. Students may notice a few teachers in the building piloting this digital hall pass system for the remainder of the year as we seek to roll it out during the start of next school year.
SmartPass will allow for real time pass tracking, including our Student Advocacy Team having real time feedback on what students are in the hallway at any given time, where they are headed, where they are coming from, and how long they have been out of class.
Handbook language will be updated to clearly communicate our pass policies and standards for maintenance moving forward. An update will come in August before our kiddos return to campus.
