Mission Statement

The Houghton Lake Community Schools District is committed to excellence in education. Our mission is to encourage all students to acquire academic skills, while fostering responsible attitudes, habits and citizenship. Our students will develop the ability to research and apply information in order to make effective decisions as life-long learners.

Houghton Lake Community Schools is in the process of reviewing their sexuality education curriculum to better meet the needs of students. Community support and feedback is valued in this process. This survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and all responses will be anonymous. Each respondent will be entered into a drawing to win one of four gifts valued at approximately $50. Should you prefer to complete a paper version of the survey, please contact the HLCS Administrative Center at 989.366.2035.

Again, your name will be kept separate from your responses. Thank you for your time and input!
